Nintendo Switch 2 is now available in Australia - here are the best places to grab one
All the Aussie retailers selling Nintendo Switch 2 right now

The Nintendo Switch 2 released on June 5, in Australia, with a AU$699.95 RRP. A Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle is also available for AU$769.95. The chaos has arrived, and we're here to help you navigate it.
Unlike the PS5, the Nintendo Switch 2 doesn't seem to be scarce. That said, some retailers like Amazon are currently out-of-stock. Last week they were offering the console for AU$696, which is slightly cheaper than the RRP.
Can you just wander into a bricks and mortar store and buy a Switch 2? Retailers like The Good Guys and Officeworks are indicating that yes, indeed, you can. I'd still call ahead, though.

Switch 2 retailers in Australia
As of launch day, Amazon is selling the Nintendo Switch 2 with immediate shipping: there are no advertised delays as of Thursday morning, but that may change throughout the day. The Mario Kart World bundle is also available for AU$766.
JB Hi-Fi [next shipment June 16]
JB Hi-Fi is still selling Switch 2 online with immediate shipping, and stores have stock on a case-by-case basis. You can check online for availability (in the click and collect section) or just call your nearest outlet. They also have the Mario Kart World Bundle for AU$769.
EB Games [next shipment approx. June 20]
EB Games is advertising a "late June" shipping date for online Switch 2 orders, but that doesn't seem to apply in-store: if you call your local outlet they may very well have units. You can also check their website in the 'click and collect' section. The Mario Kart World bundle is also available for AU$769.95, with a similar caveat on expected shipping dates.
The Good Guys [In-store only, check local outlet]
Aussie retailer The Good Guys isn't offering Nintendo Switch 2 orders online at the moment, but there's an option to check stock in your closest store. The same goes for the Mario Kart World bundle, which they're selling for the usual AU$769 RRP.
Officeworks is offering a whole AU$2 off the RRP for the Nintendo Switch 2, and even has a limit of two per customers, rather than one. That said, postage will set you back at least AU$10. It's currently available both online and in-store, though call ahead to confirm stock.
Big W is still taking Switch 2 orders for apparently immediate shipping, though in-store stock seems patchy: best to call ahead! The Mario Kart World bundle is also available.
Independent Australian games retailer The Gamesmen has stock both in-store and online, both for the standalone console and the Mario Kart World bundle. If you have an outlet nearby, it couldn't hurt to give them a call.
Nintendo Switch 2 accessories
Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller | AU$119 at Amazon
The wireless Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controller takes after its predecessor, but this time is decked out with new re-mappable GL/GR buttons, and the new 'C' button to initiate the brand-new Switch 2 Game Chat feature.
Joy-Con 2 (L) and Joy-Con 2 (R) Controller Set | AU$139 at Amazon
Having an extra set of Joy-Con 2 controllers can come in handy, especially if you plan to play a lot of local Mario Kart World. This extra pair comes with both the left and right updated Joy-Con 2 controllers, which includes the newly updated HD rumble and mouse controls.
Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip | AU$49 at Amazon
The official charging grip can connect to your two Joy-Con 2 controllers and transform them into one gamepad. Better yet, it can also charge them in the process, which the original grip that came with the OG Switch was missing out on.
Joy-Con 2 Wheel (set of two) | AU$29 at Amazon
Remember the Wii Wheel? Well, it's back, in Switch 2 form. These official wheel accessories are a lot smaller than the older models and can hook up to a single Joy-Con 2 controller to make Mario Kart World a more arcade-like experience.
Joy-Con 2 Straps | AU$19 at Amazon
These simple light red and light blue Switch 2 straps can attach onto the side of the Joy-Con 2 controllers to make them easier to hold, and come with a way to tie them onto your wrist so you don't drop your pricey Ninty controllers after a frantic Mario Kart World gaming session.
